DBICA is glad to have spearheaded the launching of the Chennai Christian Short Film Festival, a new initiative to promote young Christian film makers and provide them with a platform to showcase their works, thus motivating them to pursue greater goals in their career, and offering them due recognition for excellence in Christian Film Productions.
This is the first time such an initiative to join hands with all Christian media professionals is at work, so that all creative hands that have a passion for Christ can come under one umbrella, and communicate Christ and his values powerfully. The festival is the fruit of a joint collaboration with Deepagam – Centre for Evangelization and Catechesis, Divine TV – Kerala, Angel TV & Jesus Ministries.
Generally people are unaware of the riches contained in the audio visual medium in matters concerning our faith and values. A festival of this sort will no doubt bring into limelight the power of Christ though media. There is also a greater need to encourage and motivate Christian media professionals to contribute towards our faith and building of God`s kingdom on this earth. “We need to bring into synergy all creative Christian energy and proclaim Christ effectively through media“ affirmed Fr. Harris, the CCSFF director while talking about the leitmotif of this venture.
